I remember showing my book to the Travel & Leisure Australia Art Director earlier this year. Somehow we ended up talking about photographing food, to which I responded ‘I don’t really shoot food’.
Clearly I hadn’t been to a place like Thailand, where food seems to be a national past time. I have a growing collection of photographs of food from the streets of Bangkok. While the above examples are of fruit, I have plenty of BBQ meats to show as well. I will save those for a future post.
As for photographing food, I guess the answer now is ‘yes, I do’.
